MEET THE FOUNDER & HEAD COACH
JAKE SOMMERS
Coach Jake was a professional pitcher who played in the Colorado Rockies and St. Louis Cardinals organizations. Originally from Hortonville, Wisconsin, he played four years at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee before being selected by the Cardinals in the 10th round of the 2019 MLB Draft. Jake was later traded to the Rockies as part of the Nolan Arenado trade. After undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2022, he worked his way back to full health and reached the AAA level. Now, he’s dedicated to helping the next generation of athletes develop their skills, mindset, and character through Cardo Athletics.

We are located at 32206 Tamina Rd, just minutes from The Woodlands, making it an ideal training spot for athletes in the area. Our facility is easily accessible from I-45 and FM 1488, providing a quick and hassle-free drive for families in The Woodlands, Magnolia, Conroe, Tomball, and Spring.
